When Listening is Overrated

I came across the following quote the other day:

“Do you remember who you were before the world told you who you should be?” – Charles Bukowski

I felt compelled to answer.

So I reached into my memory and thought about it long and hard.

It was then I realized that when the world was telling me who I should be, I must not have been listening.
